It had to be made a city because they had so many people here.
There have been enormous changes, really, because we were like a little country town in those days. Everybody knew everyone and that. But now, it's just got such a big city now, it really is a city.
We first lived in Beach Street, where Myers are now, we lived there, and that was close. It was handy, you know. Until we came up here of course. And that's where we see the difference, because we lived in Beach Street, and of course none of those shops were anywhere around, back then. And so it's a big difference, sort of thing.
